Here's the self portrait I did yesterday. With sturdy green rubber boots and gretchen-braids I felt like something out of a
Wagner opera! Took a photo before I started with the shadowing. Comparing them now I'm not sure which one I prefer. It's not relevant to me if there's 100% likeness or not. Which one is more interesting? What's your opinion? I'd love to hear!
There's an interview with my husband Mattias
here, take a look!
And have a pleasant weekend.
Very striking and this portrait shows it's soul, which is important... it fits for wise.
ReplyDeleteI like the top first one, it's more defined and crisp :)
Thank you for posting - have a great weekend!
I prefer without the shadowing. Forms look smoother and "gretchen-braids" becomes "the issue". This doesn't mean I don't like well defined drawings, wich I do. My vote goes for the "soft" one.
ReplyDeleteI like the top one; no distractions from the shape of your face.
ReplyDeleteJag tycker om att få se båda – blir tydligt för mig att varje streck är viktigt.
ReplyDeletethank you for letting me know your opinion! I think I prefer the one without shadows, even though it takes off about 20 years from my actual age... :)
ReplyDeleteDet är intressant det här med porträtt både tecknade och fotografier. Nu tittade jag in på intervjun med din man och då tyckte jag att han var väldigt lik sina egna illustrationer...!
ReplyDeletethis is wonderful cecilia. it seems to have a lot of confidence. i surprisingly like the one without shading more - i like the clean lines.
ReplyDeletei have missed a lot over here.
marie-louise - man lägger väl ner mer än man tror av sig själv i sina bilder, medvetet eller omedvetet.
ReplyDeletejulie - I prefer that one too - as a drawing. I don't feel it resembles me, I don't look my age...
Very interesting!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great job!! Congratulations!!!
