Mattias and I arrived at the gallery and - I was completely taken by surprise! - Ebba, wonderful friend and collegue, suddenly appeared out of nowhere :))))) She had secretly decided to travel down for the opening. We had apparently almost run into each other by accident during the day, visiting the same museum...
We also met up with Tabea Dürr, textile artist living in Sweden, also participating in the show and her friend Aurora. So nice to meet gallerists Yvonna and Lisa in person, they've done a great job. All the pieces had their own space, nothing felt crowded. Amazing since the space isn't huge and we are 18 participating artists.
Lovely to meet Mimi Joung again, we both took part in the Bacchanalia show about a year ago. I also met Jessica and Dail, and Ginger, from Manchester Craft and Design Centre where Forming Words will be exhibited from July 13th - November 9th.
Tabea, Aurora, Ebba, Mattias and I spent the rest of the lovely evening eating small but tasty dishes at The Bloody French.
My visit to Flow Gallery, London, was made possible with a grant from IASPIS The Swedish Arts Grants Committee's International Programme for Visual Artists. Thank you!
