cuckoos nest

Voilá my contribution to the summer exhibition at Kaleido Konsthantverk. I call it Cuckoos Nest. The eggs are made of book pages and glue, I used the folded part from stitched books, thereof the folds and small holes that remain. Of course only one egg differs from the rest.

I enjoyed making the nest, although I wonder how a jury of experts had judged my work... Speaking of which, Mattias and I are totally absorbed in the activity around our bird feeders outside our kitchen window. We have a perfect view and have counted 13 different species; Bullfinch, Great Spotted Woodpecker, and Hawfinch amongst others. It's not been good for the work discipline, running to the window every now and then to check who's there...

  1. Mycket fint! Vilket underbart bidrag till utställningen. Synd att det är så långt härifrån! Hade varit kul att se.
    Kram!

  3. I love it. The work and your feeders. I don't think I'd get any work done with such fantastic visitors just outside. xolj

  5. Thank you both, Louise and Jennie! We've noticed that the activity around the birdfeeders goes up on cloudy, chilly and rainy days... Not that we wish for this weather, but those days we get less work done :)
